Christmas Morning!

Christmas morning was a frenzy of wrapping paper and cardboard! Lots of "Wows" from Wills and lots of paper eating by Aidy!

Young Aidy opening his "Thats Not My Car" book from Santa.

After waiting very patiently for Wills to wake up, a lazy 8am start, he came down to a lovely bundle of pressies; including his Ben 10 alien spotting guide!

First Step!

Young Aidy has managed his first step this week! We've had no more re-runs as yet but he is spending as much time as possible standing up and walking around the furniture.

Our Little Joseph!

We attended Wills' Christmas Happening today, apparently it's called this as they never quite know what is going to happen! All the parents filed into the hall eagerly trying to spot their little cherubs. I was starting to panic as I couldn't see young Wills anywhere, until Ben pointed out that he was smack bang in the middle playing the part of Joseph. Oh yes, it doesn't get any better than that! We were so proud, although he showed more interest in waving his crook around than participating in song actions!

How could we?!

We as parents have done something unforgivable; we left Nanny and Grandad Crispies last night without Wills' beloved Ben 10 watch. Tears were averted last night as he fell asleep in the car on the way home -- however, Wills' first request this morning was for his watch. A very quick thinking Daddy advised a very teary Wills that Grandad was going to fit it with a new battery. This left him somewhat less battered but still visibly upset.

All in all he is coping quite well without his right arm accessory but he has asked me "Mummy, how can I rescue people now?"

Those alien powers really are all in the watch!

Bathtime with the Everitts!

A quick dunk for Aidan in the kitchen sink turned into Wills not wanting to miss out on the action. Aidan was also very insistent in trying to bring the fish into the equation!

and lets not forget the very wet and slippery kitchen floor that we were left with.

Its Cold Outside.

Aidy just loves to get out, so much so that he really doesn't mind what he looks like. I personally think he looks adorable but then I am biased.

Ben 10 Crazy!

We've all gone a bit Ben 10 crazy in our house. Young Wills now has pj's, slippers, pants, socks and a top to join his beloved watch.

It won´t be long

Aidan has spent most of his day today standing up completely unaided. A little wobble and a sharp bounce onto his well padded bottom isn´t putting him off continuously standing up!

Will he be walking by Christmas? Watch this space!

And he's off!

Albeit very slowly but who would have thought he would be so willing to walk at only just 9 months old! I don't think its going to be very long before he's catching Wills.

Wills has discovered Ben 10!

Wills' new favourite toy has to be his Ben 10 watch!
He has recently discovered this new cartoon and has been hooked ever since, the watch never leaves his side. We are having to remove it once he's asleep!
I feel that Ben 10 maybe apprearing on Wills' letter to Santa this year.

Cheesey Crumpets!

Who would of thought that Wills eating his crumpets could be so entertaining!

Teething and Eating!

Young Aidy has cut his two bottom teeth this week! Teething hasn't had too many negative effects, the main noticable one is his not wanting to eat, so if in doubt, let him do it himself!
Dinner was swiftly followed by a fully clothed bath...

Wills and the Lotus!

(in Wills' words) "Uncle Jon has a has a new sports car and it goes really fast!". He got to have a play in Jons new toy today, he had to ask Jon to slow down as he was going really really fast, well 25mph anyway! What little boy wouldn't remember his first ride in a Lotus.

Poorly Boys!

Its been a week of illness in the Everitt household. Poor old Wills was up all night Sunday with a hideous sore throat, a trip to the docs confirmed that he has tonsillitis -- so along we went to the chemist for his first ever dose of antibiotics. He was incredibly excited about the banana medicine, also was very wise in advising me that he must take it to nursery with him! Anyway a few days rest along with the "magic" medicine; he is back on fine form after missing pre-school, nursery and swimming this week, much to his dismay.

Now it appears that young Aidy has come down with a very snotty cold along with some serious teething, bless him he is still full of smiles and getting into all sorts of mischief. This week he has mastered the step in our lounge, getting out of his bath seat and standing up in his cot -- quite an eventful week!

Mummy is very glad that the boys are on the mend; however has suffered severe sleep deprivation and shall be getting in an early night!

School So Soon?!?

I received Williams application for school in the post today, surely its still too early!!
We have to list 3 preferred schools - looks like we had better start reading some OFSTED reports for our local schools.
Although I think our preferred will be St Marys, where I myself, my brothers and cousins went!
Its a lovely little school with only around 90 children in the infants and juniors - It has grown quite a bit since my day as there were merely 30 when I was there.

Stair Gates!

It´s time!! I found an ever more adventurous Aidy at the bottom of the stairs today, trying with all his might to get up the first step. So its back to the days of the constant opening and closing of stair gates! Although it is quite amusing listening to Ben trying to work them after a night out on the mead!!

Cranium Fort

One of the great many presents that Wills received for his birthday was Cranium Fort. Much fun is being had creating many different modes of transport -- The ship is proving to be a real favourite.

Young Aidy is very much enjoying the demolition part of the game!

Happy Birthday to You!

Wills had quite a few pressies to open on the morning of his birthday.. We had the usual 4 year old´s reaction to clothes and then the great reactions to toys such as his new light up scooter!

And every 4 year old boy needs a Lightning McQueen birthday cake!

Littlehampton

As Williams 4th birthday approaches, we decided to take him to the seaside for the day! Unfortunately the park was closed and this was pretty much all that was on offer. It started out well but the noise was all too much and the sensitive sole wanted to get off! We moved onto the beach to from here where much more fun was had by the boys!
We topped the day off with a little park up on the M25 - We did end up with a lovely meal for him at a lovely little pub not far from here, so all was not lost! Now he has his little party to look forward to next week.

The New Car

The new car has arrived -- we´re over the moon with it! The kids have lots of room and there are endless cup holders for Wills to store his abundance of beakers!

We did wonder whether it would be worth looking into some sort of sound proofing between "us and them" but there´s nothing better than a family sing song on our long
journeys!

Aidy's cracked it!

Young Aidan has cracked it - he is now a fully fledged crawler and getting his hands on all of Wills' toys!!

Football School

Wills has started a new term at football school - he was particularly excited this term as his best mate Josh has joined up too. He is also modeling an early birthday present from Nanny and Grandad up the hill..

Aidy´s on the move

Oh yes! A week before he is 7 months, Aidan has decided that Wills´ toys are just too tempting! He´s rocking and rolling.. Wills crawled at exactly the same time, which is quite mad.

Back to work...

Its been a hectic week - I have returned to work.. Here is young Aidan all ready for his first day in nursery. http://www.deerlandsdaynursery.co.uk
He enjoyed his first day with his new pals, although he did cry when I first left him -- I then spent all day feeling very guilty!
Of course, Wills was on hand to look out for his little bro! Wills has been a regular at the nursery since he was 10 months, so was more than happy to show him the ropes.

Hello All

Well hello!
Better late than never. Courtesy of the Burchells I just cannot resist creating a blog any longer! The boys are growing up fast and I cannot think of a better way to enable everyone to see them grow.

So watch this space!

The boys so far..
