Puddle Jumping!
The real benefit of living along an unmade road is the sheer joy of muddy puddle jumping! The boys had a riot jumping in and out of all the puddles and Wills´wellies ended up completely full of murky water, this was swiftly followed by a lovely warm bath. Who would of thought that this time last week, they were in their paddling pool...

Fun in the sun!
Such a lovely summers day gave us a great excuse to get out the paddling pool much to Wills´joy! Wills had a fabulous time splashing around in the water whilst Aidy deemed it far to cold and refused to get in, he opted for spending all afternoon throwing balls into the pool and laughing his head off at the great splashes they caused!

We´re all going on a......
Summer Holiday! Yippee!!
Owing to some amazing generosity, we are actually going to get a holiday this summer -- we were so keen to get away out of the school holidays before Wills starts big school!
So on the 4th July we shall be spending the week in Great Yarmouth, staying at the Hoseasons park.. There looks like there will be stacks for the boys to do!

A rough night for Wills
Poor Wills was in great pain in the night -- every time he fell asleep, his arm would move causing him to cry out. Tonight we are going to pad him in a bit more, to try and stop his arm from moving so much. He´s a lot brighter this afternoon but obviously shattered from such a restless night.
We were advised that he take his arm out of his sling every hour to keep it moving, he´s being very brave but it causes him great discomfort. Here´s hoping for a more comfortable night tonight.

A bitter sweet day
The boys were very excited to be going off to nursery today, Wills particularly so as it was warm enough for shorts.
However, I received a phone call at 11.30 from nursery to say that Wills had taken a tumble in the soft play area. He had landed rather nastily on his elbow -- he was in alot of pain and after a trip to the GP we were off to A&E. After a long wait, we were taken through for an x-ray, he found this very painful and they were unable to get a clear picture but they were able to deduce that it wasn´t broken. They fitted him with a "collar and cuff" -- back home he was more comfortable but the nurse advised that he move his arm regularly which is causing great discomfort. He has gone off to bed tonight and hopefully won´t be in too much pain during the night. No running around or climbing for little fella this week, which also means no football school or swimming.

Nanny & Grandads Bird Table..

Aidy discovered the bird table in Nanny & Grandad Crispies garden today, the contents of which had been collected all winter! He got into a lovely wet, muddy mess.It was time for his dinner, so we took him indoors -- in the hour that followed he managed to throw yoghurt on the floor, smash a whole bottle of red wine and then after a nice cleansing soak in the tub, he piddled all over the floor.
Nanny, Grandad & Sally definitely paused for breath after we left that night!

On Mothers Day, Wills got to try out horse riding on a lovely little pony called Dillon with Aunty Sally. He really enjoyed himself and can´t wait to go again.

Poorly Boys!
Its been a rough couple of weeks for young Aidy as he has been poorly for the last 10 days. He came down with a tummy bug, which was followed by a week of not eating.
Shortly after we thought he was getting better, he was sick again -- another trip to the docs confirmed that he has a chest infection and antibiotics have been prescribed. Hopefully now he can start to regain some strength and energy as the normally lively little fella is spending most of his days chilling out and is understandably very irritable.
In amongst all this Ben and Wills have also had the dreaded bug, although their´s seemed to have been a 24 hour spell.

Birthday Bike

Wills was brought a fab little trike for his first birthday, so it was only right that Aidy had one too! His is a little wooden Iggle Piggle one, every trip around the lounge results in a big grin!

Aidy´s 1st Birthday
Ben was away on Aidys actual birthday, so we let him open a couple of his pressies on the day itself. The mini In The Night Garden books and his fire engine were a great start!

A beautiful moment
Every night when we take Aidy to bed, we snuggle up in his armchair and he has a bottle of milk, following his milk he likes to sit up and cuddle into you whilst he does a few lovely milky burps!
Normally Wills takes himself off to play whilst he waits for his bedtime story. Tonight however, Wills asked if he could give Aidy his milk, so they snuggled up and melted their Mummy´s heart. Wills sat their smiling at Aidy drinking his milk and announced in a hushed tone, that he really loves his brother. The pics really don´t do the moment any justice (gushing parent moment over)..
