Birthday Bike

Wills was brought a fab little trike for his first birthday, so it was only right that Aidy had one too! His is a little wooden Iggle Piggle one, every trip around the lounge results in a big grin!

Lots of Birthday Pics

Aidy opening his pressies from his big bro!
The award for noisiest toy goes to Nanny and Grandad up the hill!
He even had snow for his big day
We took Aidy out to a local soft play center with his little pals!
His birthday cakes were made with a little help from Wills.

Aidy´s 1st Birthday

Ben was away on Aidys actual birthday, so we let him open a couple of his pressies on the day itself. The mini In The Night Garden books and his fire engine were a great start!

A beautiful moment

Every night when we take Aidy to bed, we snuggle up in his armchair and he has a bottle of milk, following his milk he likes to sit up and cuddle into you whilst he does a few lovely milky burps!

Normally Wills takes himself off to play whilst he waits for his bedtime story. Tonight however, Wills asked if he could give Aidy his milk, so they snuggled up and melted their Mummy´s heart. Wills sat their smiling at Aidy drinking his milk and announced in a hushed tone, that he really loves his brother. The pics really don´t do the moment any justice (gushing parent moment over)..

No more formula.

Its another milestone for Aidy, a week before his first birthday and we have switched him onto cows milk, he appears very happy with the transition and has not batted an eyelid to the change. I for one am not going to miss, sterilising and making up bottles!

ps. he is now spending most of his time tottering about on 2 feet and looking generally very pleased with himself.

Long long nights for Mummy...

Its been a very long week in the lack of sleep department with young Aidy. He had become accustomed to have between 2 and 3 bottles of formula a night and hence was an absolute nightmare when it came to eating solids. No amount of coaxing with In the Night Garden and flying aeroplanes was getting him to eat without tears.

So Mummy bit the bullet and spent some very long nights not letting him have any milk and the results are amazing, he is now eating everything we put in front of him without any tantrums and has (fingers crossed) slept through for the last 2 nights.

Its like we have a brand new bambino in the house, he is sleeping so much better and generally less "angry"! I guess a full tum and plenty of rest is all they need.

The boys so far..
